Growing Into Summer

Summer is such a beautiful time of growth. Gardens ripen into abundant color. Children sprout curiosity as they roam outdoors and hone new skills. Even adults seem to thrive with longer daylight and more time outside making room to play. Here at Mountain Mama Massage we are growing too - in so many ways! Faith is quite literally growing as she prepares to welcome her first baby in October. The practice is growing with additional therapists so that you, our clients, continue to be served with skilled therapeutic massage while Faith steps away for sabbatical and maternity leave.

*Meet Our Therapists*

Jeanne has been with Mountain Mama Massage since 2016 and will continue to provide the amazing prenatal and postpartum massage (as well as bodywork for all you partners and grandparents out there!) that you have come to know and love. Remember - Jeanne books out a few weeks so schedule in advance!

We are thrilled to welcome Caitlin to our team. While new to us, Caitlin is a 12 year veteran of massage therapy. Before moving to Colorado she spent 8 years massaging growing families at a wellness center in Kentucky focused on expecting parents. Like Jeanne and Faith, she is a certified prenatal/postpartum massage therapist trained to support both healthy and high-risk pregnancies.

Last but not least, please meet the new woman behind the emails - Shelly! Shelly is kind, patient, and with over 20 years of experience as a massage therapist, she is a font of knowledge to answer all your questions. We can all be grateful that someone without pregnancy brain is getting back to you!

*Faith on Sabbatical and Maternity Leave*

If 2020 was about sustaining through the chaos, 2021 is about letting go into the flow of change. With a baby arriving in October you will notice some of these changes at our office. After a full year of taking care of clients with massage and bodywork during the COVID-19 pandemic - with no cases traceable to our offices thanks always to our amazing clients for being so cautious!!! - Faith will be taking a sabbatical before the baby’s arrival and maternity leave after birth. The sabbatical begins July 1st and maternity leave will extend at least four months after babe arrives. Faith will continue to be available for online infant massage instruction and consultations during August and September. She will also be assisting in teaching a Pre/Perinatal Massage Therapy intensive in Boulder with her mentor in September/October 2021.

Faith looks forward to resuming hands-on bodywork in 2022 with the embodied experience of pregnancy and postpartum as an incredible new way to grow her knowledge of the body and of supporting clients through pregnancy and beyond. She also has a long list of continuing education goals that will serve clients of all genders and generations to keep her busy during her summer sabbatical.

Kind encouraging words are welcome and you will hear from us again when babe arrives!

*Schedule your Session*

We continue to do our best to meet clients' needs for massage, but it’s been extra busy recently! Please plan ahead for your sessions, cancel or change appointments atleast 48 hours in advance, and utilize the online waitlist when the calendar is looking full. Our goal is for you to continue receiving bodywork. If we can’t meet those needs we will do our best to refer you to other trusted therapists, but please know there are a limited number of local therapists who are certified in perinatal massage and our standards are quite high!

*COVID-19 Precautions*

All clients and therapists (vaccinated and unvaccinated) will continue to wear masks during sessions both at home and in the office. Please cancel your appointment if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or any other illness.
